Village Fayre
The next Bolsterstone Village Fayre will be held on Saturday, 7th July 2012. Please let us know if you’d like to help out!
Flower Festival 25-28th August: “Let’s Celebrate”
See the update - on the left. The Flower Festival will celebrate the events of the past 60 years, since the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, with particular emphasis on Sport in this Olympic year.

Bolsterstone Male Voice Choir Concert
The world famous Bolsterstone Male Voice Choir (BMVC) perform a concert at St Mary’s in December each year. The date of the next one will be posted here in due course.

Update: Spring 2012
St Mary’s Annual General Meeting will be held immediately after the 10.45am morning service on 15th April 2012. This is an opportunity for members of the congregation to find out about what the Parochial Church Council and other relevant groups and individuals have been doing on behalf of the church and to influence future developments. Those on the Electoral Roll are also eligible for nomination to the PCC, for which there may be up to three vacant places.
We have started preparations for our next Flower Festival, which will be held over the August Bank Holiday weekend. A planning meeting - to which all those interested are warmly invited - is to be held in the church extension at 7.30pm on Monday 6th February.
As mentioned previously, the Diocese of Sheffield is currently undertaking a major review of “Sustainable Patterns of Stipendary Ministry” across the Diocese. St Mary’s is contributing to this review via the Ecclesfield Deanery, of which we are a part, and through a series of meetings with our sister Anglican churches in the Stocksbridge area: Saint Matthias and St John’s Deepcar. The next of these meetings is a Joint PCC Meeting at Deepcar St John’s Church at 7.30pm on Monday, 20th February.
